Operational objectives
H&L’s strategic plan includes consolidating its internal structure with a view to affirming its position in the tourism and health sector, seeking new members and establishing strategic partnerships, following a number of operational objectives:
- To make visitors aware of the wide range of options for providing health and well-being services during their stay in Portugal, ensuring the reliability and quality of these services
- Promote the creation of training programs for professionals in the tourism and health sectors, in order to guarantee an improvement in the quality of the services offered; - Develop initiatives to highlight the benefits of health tourism
- Develop initiatives to highlight the benefits of health tourism
- Hold open sessions to present successful case studies in the field of health tourism
- Organize workshops and seminars for health professionals, tourism representatives and other stakeholders to promote the discussion and exploration of opportunities in health tourism, providing practical training for the implementation and promotion of health tourism and wellness services
- Develop actions to encourage the participation of civil society in health tourism initiatives, thus creating a welcoming and sustainable environment in the different regions of the country, which will act as a driving force for the territory
- Support the creation of a “Health and Wellness Tourism Observatory”, which provides data and market analysis capable of revealing the potential for growth in demand for this product
- Create a collaborative network of stakeholders, promoting forums or working groups where health entities can collaborate, share experiences and develop joint projects with players in the tourism sector, through an online platform where health and tourism entities can access resources, connect with partners and publicize the services they have to offer
